Work with me

Currently, there are two ways to Work with Me:

For Adult Children Struggling with a Parent’s Affair

I am currently conducting interviews with adult children who have either just discovered a parent’s affair, or who have known about the infidelity for some time but are now needing to confront it in a different way.

The goal is to build an online program offering both education about how to cope with a parent’s affair and all of the family dynamics that come with it, and a support community where participants can get answers in real time from me and others coping with the same stuff.

Based on the 20+ interviews I have already done, I know that the program will include these topics:

  1. How to have difficult conversations safely (including how to confront your parents about the affair)

  2. How to set and hold the boundaries that you need to heal with kindness

  3. How to decide what level of contact with your family is right for you, and how to establish an emotionally and physically low-contact relationship with family, guilt-free

  4. Most importantly, how to move on from the experience to a life unencumbered by your family’s drama, where you can live authentically without fear.

Help me decide what else to include! Click this link to get a spot on my calendar. Believe me, I understand from personal experience the importance of confidentiality around this topic.

FOR GROUPS THAT SUPPORT BETRAYED or cheating PARENTS

If you are a therapist or helper who hosts a group for betrayed or cheating parents, I have expertise speaking with these parents about their teens’ experience, based on the hundreds of teens who have reached out to me. Specifically, I include tips on how to communicate with teens about the affair in a way that opens the lines of communication without a full disclosure of any sexual content of the affair.
